Freedom While Living

The subject matter of this blog is about each of us.

It is not about our mind, other people or the world. Rather, it is about looking at and examining our life in the light of a very ancient teaching, in order to resolve the fundamental, universal problem that we all unconsciously suffer from.

This problem may be entirely unconscious. However, this does not prevent it from determining on a moment by moment basis, how we see, how we feel and how we act.

In this ignorance of what is unknowingly governing the way we live our lives, we become like a puppet, convinced that we are free. However, it is in fact the puppet master who whilst remaining entirely hidden, is the one pulling all the strings.

We can go to seminars, read books, try various spiritual practices, undergo a wide range of experiences… but unless this fundamental problem is exposed and resolved, nothing really changes for us.

This problem is not located in our mind. It is not caused by what other people have said or done to us up to this point. It is also not caused by or located with the world in which we live.

The problem we are talking about is not located with our mind, other people or the world. This means that this hidden problem that keeps our suffering in place, is located with us. It is located with ourselves. This can sound very negative but as we will see, the good news is that the location of the solution is also with ourselves.

The exposing of this problem as it exists in us right here, right now as we are, and its resolution right here, right now as we are, is the subject matter of this blog.

I am a Western person with a background in theology, philosophy and psychology. I went to India for a period of 14 months to study with the most remarkable psychological thinker I have ever encountered.

He was a traditional Hindu monk and his name was Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati (1930-2015). This man, in my humble opinion, clarified like no other the nature and structure of human suffering, as it exists in all of us and its resolution.

This blog is an ongoing examination of the hidden universal problem that is the basis of ALL the forms of human suffering that we are subject to and its resolution.

If this subject matter that is of interest to you, you are in the right place.
